Workflow Studio uses VMWare PowerShell extension to Automate and Provision ESX Servers

BOSTON, September 11, 2007 -- FullArmor, the leader in enterprise policy management, announced that FullArmor CTO Danny Kim will be demonstrating how Workflow Studio automates and provisions VMWare’s virtual servers Wednesday at the VMWorld Session (ID#: IO30) “Managing VMWare Infrastructure 3 with Windows PowerShell” at 12:45pm PST at the Moscone South - Esplanade 304. Mr. Kim will be onstage with Antonio Dias, Senior Staff Software Engineer in the VirtualCenter Infrastructure Group at VMWare. Mr. Dias will be covering the comprehensive API set in the VMWare Infrastructure PowerShell extension.

Mr. Kim will be demonstrating how Workflow Studio for VMWare includes:

• A web-based console that initiates workflows
• Change and control process for ESX server creation
• Workflows to configure the ESX servers

FullArmor’s Workflow Studio (WFS), which automates complex, time consuming Windows datacenter provisioning and administration tasks with workflow-enabled scripts. Without writing any code, WFS enables IT departments to mix and match Windows PowerShell scripts with workflow technology to manage Windows applications, virtual machines, Active Directory, Group Policy, and more.

To automate complex IT operations processes such as provisioning Virtual Machines, WFS uses a graphical console to make it “drag and drop easy” to workflow-enable Windows PowerShell scripts. From the WFS Console, administrators can easily create workflows that automatically perform multi-step systems management tasks in a controlled fashion. To execute individual operations, users simply point-and-click to drop standard scripts created with PowerShell, Windows Command, Visual Basic, and Java Script into a workflow. WFS includes sample workflow templates that can be used “as is” or modified to meet specific requirements.
